2023 Landslide and Surface Erosion Prevention Project (in Taiwan) - Agency of Rural Development and Soil and Water Conservation, MOA

Mr. Wattana Mangthisan, Deputy Director-General of the Land Development Department (LDD) under the Ministry of Agriculture of Thailand, led a Thai delegation to Taiwan from August 13th to August 19th in 2023. On the 14th, the LDD hosted an administrative meeting between Taiwanese and Thai officials. From the 15th to the 17th, the Thai delegation, accompanied by the LDD, visited various locations in Taiwan, including Dayan Leisure Agriculture Area, Huashan Community for Debris Flow Monitoring and Industrial Development, Sinhua Forest Area NCHU Gold Award Projects, Dungpian Gold Medal Rural Community, Pingtung University of Science and Technology for Land and Soil Conservation, and Smart Farms. On the 18th, they paid a visit to the Thailand Economic and Trade Office and met with Ambassador Mr. Twekiat Janprajak. Following this, they attended the "Taiwan-Thailand Bilateral Experience Sharing and Exchange Meeting" at the Taipei Branch of the LDD. During this meeting, the Deputy Director-General of the LDD extended a special invitation to the Thai delegation to participate in the World Soil Day event in Thailand in December, further fostering cooperation between the two sides.
