The ARDSWC and ICDF signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The Agency of Rural Development and Soil and Water Conservation (hereinafter referred to as the ARDSWC) and the International Cooperation and Development Fund (hereinafter referred to as the ICDF) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), committing to collaborate on research and exchange in the fields of global rural development, soil and water conservation, disaster management, and community disaster prevention.

Due to the increasing frequency of extreme weather events in recent years and the growing demand from friendly nations for optimization of the agricultural industry, After more than a year of preparation, the ARDSWC and the ICDF have successfully concluded this collaboration. The MOU was signed by Director Lee, Chen-Yang of the ARDSWC and Secretary-General Li, Chao-Cheng of the ICDF. According to the cooperation agreement, both parties will jointly explore issues related to global rural development, soil and water conservation, disaster management, slope conservation management, and community-based disaster prevention. They will provide support such as technical assistance, information exchange, and personnel exchange to collectively promote innovative development in agriculture, environment, community, and disaster management.

In addition to signing the MOU, the ARDSWC, through this exchange, introduced Taiwan's excellent disaster prevention technology, including the debris flow and large-scale landslide monitoring system. The event showcased Taiwan's outstanding achievements in rural industry guidance, using the example of the Aiyu and tea industries, and shared successful cases and operating models that Taiwan has promoted. Both parties also engaged in in-depth discussions regarding future collaborative projects and target countries.

The signing of the MOU between the ARDSWC and the ICDF signifies the collaboration of the two institutions, jointly opening a new chapter in the internationalization of promoting rural development and soil and water conservation worldwide. The purpose of the collaboration is to develop mutually beneficial and cooperative relationships, fostering bilateral development assistance, and collectively moving towards internationalization. The goal is for Taiwan to bring more hope and support to rural communities worldwide in international affairs, demonstrating infinite possibilities.
