Experts from the University of North Dakota Visited the Large-scale landslide in Xiuluan, Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County, Taiwan

Professor Yi-Xuan Ho, an expert in civil engineering and geomechanics from the University of North Dakota, visited the Large-scale landslide in Xiuluan, Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County, Taiwan. He conducted an on-site investigation into the significant collapse events that occurred in the region. Using his expertise in slope engineering stability, Professor Ho thoroughly studied the local geological environment and the causes of the landslide, providing valuable recommendations. We engaged in professional and technical exchanges with Professor Ho, expressing our collective hope to withstand the severe losses caused by large-scale landslides. This visit not only facilitated technical and academic exchanges but also highlighted the joint determination of Taiwan and the United States to collaboratively prevent natural disasters.
