Conference of Satoyama and Satoumi Initiative in Rural Taiwan - Agency of Rural Development and Soil and Water Conservation, MOA

To promote the Satoyama and Satoumi Initiative in rural Taiwan, a special "Conference of Satoyama and Satoumi Initiative in Rural Taiwan" is being organized. The conference will invite experts and scholars from the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) to share recent frameworks and strategies for promoting Satoyama and Satoumi initiatives. They will also discuss adaptation to net-zero carbon and climate change issues based on rural community perspectives. Lastly, we will share Taiwan's experiences in implementing Satoyama initiatives. Through this event, various exchanges on strategies, challenges, and practical aspects of Satoyama initiatives will be facilitated to inspire new ideas for addressing future challenges in Taiwan's rural areas, and to deepen the sustainable thinking of "harmonious coexistence between people and nature."
