Organizational Structure

ARDSWC Organization

The Agency of Rural Development and Soil and Water Conservation (the Agency) is staffed with a Director-General, two Deputy Directors-General, a Chief Secretary, and a Chief Engineer. Its operational units include the Rural Planning Division, Rural Construction Division, Agro-Industry Development and Recreation Division, Conservation and Restoration Division, Slopeland Management Division, and Disaster Mitigation and Monitoring Division. Its administrative unit includes Secretariat Office, Personnel Office, Accounting and Statistics Office, and Civil Service Ethics Office.

The Agency governs 6 affiliated agencies, which are Taipei Branch, Taichung Branch, Nantou Branch, Tainan Branch, Taitung Branch, and Hualien Branch. Each branch has its operational units (Rural Regeneration Section, Rural Construction Section, Disaster Prevention and Investigation Section, and Engineering Section) and administrative units (Personnel Office, Secretariat Office, and Accounting and Statistics Office).

The Agency is staffed with 199 persons, and the six branches in total are staffed with 267 persons (50 for Taipei Branch, 50 for Taichung Branch, 51 for Nantou Branch, 50 for Tainan Branch, 33 for Taitung Branch, and 33 for Hualien Branch). The Agency and the six branches together have a total of 466 staff members.
