German Golden Village Delegation Visits Taiwan

The German Golden Village delegation visited Taiwan for a six-day, five-night exchange program, during which they toured five award-winning Golden Village communities from the second and third editions of the competition. With the support and accompaniment of regional offices, local governments, and community partners, the German guests were deeply impressed by the lifestyle, production, ecology, vitality, and hospitality of Taiwan’s Golden Villages.

On September 11, the delegation visited the German Institute Taipei in the morning and attended the Golden Village Competition Award Ceremony in the afternoon. Mrs. Marion Frohnapfel, Chief Judge of the German National Rural Competition, delivered a speech expressing gratitude to Director-General Lee Chen-Yang and all participants for their arrangements and assistance. She also looked forward to the Taiwan-Germany exchange visit in November and assured continued communication and support for the upcoming itinerary.

On September 13, the delegation attended the Taiwan-Germany Rural Development Exchange Forum at the Taipei Branch of the ARDSWC. Experts from both Taiwan and Germany shared insights on the development of Gold Villages and rural community engagement in competitions, fostering mutual learning and laying the foundation for further collaboration in rural development and future Gold Village competitions.
